The CCUSA Aussie and New zealand Staff

We've got great team spirit here at CCUSA with everyone having their own area of expertise and bringing different strengths to the different programs we have on offer.

We have three full time offices in Australia and an office in Auckland, and many of our staff have been with the company or involved in the camping industry for over 15 years! This knowledge and experience can only benefit you. Our staff will provide you with the best customer care experience when you apply for a CCUSA adventure.

When applying you’ll get to know all of us at some point, either over the phone, if you pop into the office, on social media or at an event, but in the meantime find out a little more below about the amazing CCUSA team.

Meet our team

ROSIE FLANNIGAN

CCUSA New Zealand Country Director

DID YOU KNOW . . .Rosie is addicted to peanut butter and would have it for every meal if she could. Being at a nut free summer camp for 8 years, would seem to be a challenge- but thank goodness for soy butter!

Rosie went to camp French woods for 8 summers, she worked and ran the horseback riding department, and spent 3 years as the Head Counselor for the girls aged 11-14 years. She participated on the Practical Training USA program and worked in Canada & UK. She has joined the CCUSA team as the country coordinator for New Zealand.

ALAN ‘SNOWY’ PERRY

Global Vice President Marketing/Sales/Operations
CCUSA Australian & New Zealand Director

DID YOU KNOW . . .Snowy has completed the flight between Australia and the USA more than 120 times in the past 26 years, and many American Camp Directors still think ‘Snowy’ is his real first name.

Snowy worked at a YMCA camp Burgess/ Hayward on Cape Cod in Massachusetts for 5 years, and has been working for CCUSA for 22 years in Australia, the USA and UK. He is passionate about his family, sports, anything Australian (especially our Aussie sporting teams), and the New England Patriots NFL team.

ALYSON PERRY

CCUSA Australian & New Zealand Director

DID YOU KNOW . . .Alyson worked on the climbing wall at her camp, even though she is petrified of jumping off things.

Alyson has been involved in the camping industry for 18 years, and loved her time at International Sports Training Camp in PA. She’s a busy mum of 3 kids (who’ve just started going to camp themselves!) and loves helping young Aussies experience the amazement of summer camp.

Monique Foulds

DID YOU KNOW . . . The first time on a plane was when she was 22 on her way from Brisbane to camp in New York.

She worked at camp French Woods for the summers of 2012 and 2013 as a general counselor. She looked after the girls’ junior lodge campers where she spent her time giving piggy backs to activities, teaching kids an Australian accent and getting marshmallow messy at s’mores parties by the lake. In the last few years she’s been travelling the USA, Canada, Europe, UK, Asia and New Zealand. But for now is calling New Zealand home.

LOIS BUCH

CCUSA Australian & New Zealand Director

DID YOU KNOW . . .When Lois was 11 she won a spelling bee with 200 competitors, so make sure you proofread your applications! Spelling is her hobby.

Lois spent 5 summers at Camp Gwynn Valley in North Carolina and 1 summer at Camp SugarPine in California. Even though she lives in Queensland, she prefers cold weather and has ‘camped out’ in both Alaska and Antarctica. Lois has worked full time for CCUSA for 14 years, but has over 20 years interviewing participants.

Anthea Read

DID YOU KNOW . . .Anthea was known as Tui at camp (as all staff at her camp had a "camp name") and she used to schedule in "Tui Time" into each groups day just so that she could share with all the campers a little bit about New Zealand

Anthea worked at Camp Sycamore Hills, a Girl Scout camp near Nashville, TN for six summers. The first summer she was a Unit leader and the other five summers was one of the Assistant Camp Directors. While at camp she spent her days driving the tractor for wagon rides to cookouts, teaching tree climbing and taking the girls on short hikes. Anthea has worked part time for CCUSA in New Zealand (in the South Island) since 2004 interviewing participants for various programs and marketing and career/school expos.

DYLAN LYNCH

DID YOU KNOW . . .I (Dylan) hiked the Grand Canyon for an entire day, in bare feet! People even stopped and asked if he was from New Zealand, I wonder why?!

Dylan has worked at Skylake Yosemite Camp for three summers as a Camper In Leadership Training (CILT) counsellor. Part of the CILT program was to sleep outside under the stars for a month and along with that, having to wake up in the middle of the night to chase away nearby black bears! Most recently this summer, Dylan worked as a full time ski boat driver, taking kids water skiing, wakeboarding and banana boating all around Bass Lake!

CHRIS O'CONNOR

DID YOU KNOW . . .Chris is the only CCUSA Australia staff who isn't from Australia, but loves living here!

Chris is originally from California, very close the CCUSA headquarters near San Francisco. He's been part of the CCUSA team for 14 years and has called Australia home for the last 10 years.

TONY DONALD

DID YOU KNOW . . .Tony can often be found sitting outside one of the bars on the Hobart waterfront with a glass of red.

Tony worked at a two Upstate New York summer camps for underprivileged children for 7 summers in the late 80’s/early 90’s. He was also the Australian Country Director of CCUSA in the early 1990’s before moving to New York. Approximately 14 years ago he moved to California and took over the role of Program Director of CCUSA’s Work Experience USA program for four years after which he returned to Australia to work with CCUSA in a marketing role.
